If you do not like or appreciate the 1980 horror film that go now. If you do, then read on! Fright Night is a very entertaining horror movie that is not really scary, but is not really designed to be either. Play in the style of the 80s horror, Fright Night is both banal and just plain fun for a late rainy night.
Work
With a cast of mostly unknown, Fright Night manages to get exactly what is supposed about the characters. Not exactly a work of nature to begin with, but nevertheless, the key is there and plays, maybe a little higher, but it gets the point quickly.
William Ragsdale plays the main protagonist in the horror film of the 80s, a teenager who thinks that a vampire has moved next door and kill people. This is obviously the main motivation for this character, because it is just to love to watch a TV show called Fright Night, which is about to kill vampires. From the start he let us know that he is like most boys of his type and is more interested in the mysterious comings and goings next door to him is his girlfriend. But while the film is a clear arc of that character as its changing priorities and actually allows some growth in this character, or at least as much as can be with a character type. Ragsdale has an overall half decent job of that, and although sometimes it seems inconvenient or perhaps repeated, it allows the public to engage with the film, we follow his destiny.
Chris Sarandon plays the vampire cool side and if it takes some time before we see him get instant that it is both a woman and a hunter predator of human blood. Fortunately, his temperament, does not really have too much on things like the look of the 80s (but obviously there), but in some ways that go beyond the decades. There is always a certain tension that his character, obviously, gives the public as it would be a neighbor in a cool place to ... if you do not kill people, of course.
Roddy McDowall is a big name actor in this film, which describes, Peter Vincent, Vampire Killer, which is not as difficult as it looks on TV. This character, of course, provide the basis for a lot of 90's movie Galaxy Quest, where you can see a lot of similarities. McDowall does a fantastic job, both are fun, fear and trying to rely on at the same time. Like other actors, very little is necessary character, but does not provide much of the character is a bit 'of fun in watching her role in this film.
The supporting cast is still pretty well done for what it is. Girlfriend is the least developed character and the film is just there for later motivation to go to the primary nature of hunting vampires. In addition to this there is not much of anything. "Assistant", our protagonist is probably the closest thing we call comic relief in this film, in that strange child who knew all through high school. In a sense, this is essentially a "character role" because of its role depends very much on his unique mannerisms and voice tones that have been pulled out of pretty memorable.
History
Obviously, this is not exactly a deep story, but keep you engaged for the most part. Which relies heavily on "knowing who believe that the main character" of its power and activity on the site. It works, but only so far as to drag a little too long after we point that no one will believe it.
Apart from that, there are credibility issues raised in the plot of this movie and if you can suspend your disbelief for this film, the story is fun and interesting in the vampire genre. The plot is, but in the end I leave you with some unanswered questions, especially because there are things that are not explained at the end and leave you wondering how, even in this movie, some things are possible. What to expect surprises at the end of some of those who do not happen exactly, but can be a good thing because it is expected that the shift, which is not much of a twist. This is obviously not Alfred Hitchcock, but about everything that is supposed to only take you on a journey of horror fun.
Cinematography
The makeup is what's in this movie. They do a fantastic job with her creatures and monsters in this movie is true to the horror that is 80 with the merger of the gore scenes that are similar to Raiders of the Lost Ark Of course not "credible" are always stunning and fresh nonetheless.
The soundtrack is nothing short of 80 years. Fortunately, it is not so heavy that you get stuck all the time wondering why the audio track as it seems. It fits the mood of this film, and not so found out to make you shudder. Again, the key to this film is its fun because you do not pull off on a technical level.
Conclusion
Just a fun horror movie. If taken, it is likely that all enjoy, especially if you're in the movies "cheesy" horror of the 80 did not really play this style. It's a bit of popcorn that is fun for one night.
